Artwork SpecificationsDefinition of
Camera Ready Artwork: Artwork that is printed on paper that is clean, crisp, black and white, and production-ready, with no touch-up or changes required. We reserve the right to determine what is and is not camera ready art. For reproduction clarity, we advise sending camera ready art that is 200% (or more) of the finished size.
Set-Up Charge: A one time net set-up charge of $12.50 will be added to cover type setting, layout and scanning camera ready artwork. Complex artwork should be supplied in color with an acceptable file format (see below for file specifications).
What is NOT
Camera Ready Artwork: We do not consider
Faxes, Business Cards, Letterhead, other imprinted items such as Hats, T-shirts,
Napkins, Patches, etc. to be camera ready. Our skilled art department can work
from these items to create your artwork at a cost of $50 per hour with a ˝hour minimum. Definition of
Digital Artwork: Artwork that is provided on a compatible disk, or E-mail file, ready to print with no changes. Art that is delivered by electronic means, but is not ready to print may be subject to art charges.
File
Requirements: All artwork exchanged electronically should be of the highest possible quality. While .jpeg and .gif formats are usable, they are designed to be very small for fast delivery over the internet. This makes them typically not of sufficient quality to render a pleasing reproduction. Bitmap (.bmp or .tif) files are typically larger and not as highly compressed, allowing for better reproduction. However, simply converting an already compressed .jpg or .gif into an uncompressed format WILL NOT increase the quality. In addition, laser profile cutting and computer engraving typically requires vector graphics (outlines only) and bitmaps are not a good source of outlines, art charges will apply to create vector graphics from a bitmap file. Recommended Programs: CorelDraw, Adobe Illustrator
Recommended File
Types: .EPS (text as curves) .CDR up to version 10 (with text as curves, or fonts embedded) AI (Adobe Illustrator) .DXF, .DWG (AutoCAD up to version 14)
Acceptable File
Types: .BMP, .TIF, .PDF, .JPG, .GIF, .PCX, .DOC Note: Compressed bitmaps and bitmaps embedded in Microsoft Word documents usually do not reproduce well. (see File Requirements above)
Disk
Requirements: Acceptable formats include: 3 ˝” floppy disks, Iomega Zip100 disks, and CD/DVD-ROM in either Mac or IBM format, and standard E-mail files and attachments.
E-mailed Artwork should be sent as an attachment to sales@bjtrophy.com. The body text of the E-mail should include all contact information and reference to the organization for which the item is being produced.
Color Matching: PMS color matching is available on most Subligraphic® and “ID Stock” products at $50 per color. |
